About the SymposiumAAvPA is a not-for-profit organisation, incorporated in Victoria under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Act of 1981. AAvPA's primary objectives are to promote the exchange of information and advancement of knowledge in the fields of aviation psychology and human factors, and to thereby expand their contribution to the safety and efficiency of the aviation and associated industries in the Asia Pacific region. The 10th International Symposium of the Australian Aviation Psychology Association (AAvPA) is confirmed to be held in Sydney from the 19 November to 22 November. The theme of this symposium is "New Generation Safety" and this year we will emphasise the practical contributions of Human Factors to aviation safety. The symposium will showcase recent activities from industry, as well as the latest applied research. The program includes pre-Symposium workshops to be held on Monday that provide an opportunity for skill development in applied Human Factors, and as usual we promise to deliver a social program that will showcase the best of Sydney in November. These events provide a balance to the scientific program and an opportunity to continue the discussions in a less formal environment!
